To disable the "New to the game?"-info box, disable tutorial mode in your account options. You will receive some in-game tips if you keep it enabled, so it's recommended to keep it on for your first few days in Wymdol.

Choosing your race

All races have their own special abilities. More advanced abilities will be unlocked as you gain levels. (Abilities available in this revision will be unlocked by level 3).

Spellcasting classes are limited by their magic power. It can be replenished by buying objects from healers.

Other classes are limited by ability points. They can be replenished while in combat.

  • Halfling
    • The halflings are a mutated strain of humans with less strength but more agility than humans.
    • Abilites: Regeneration
  • Human
    • The humans are versatile race, capable of adapting to nearly any situation. That is the key to their triumph over the beasts of Wymdol in their evolution.
    • Abilities: Damage resistance
  • Human - Priest
    • The first scholars of the human race on Wymdol were priests and spiritual leaders, as a primitive tribe looks to authoritative leadership to guide them and answer the questions of uneducated folk.
    • Abilities: Healing, Combat magic

Special Information Identifiers

Identifier texts are an important tool to use when getting crucial information about the world that surrounds you in the game. Though they vary in style between different game colour themes, they are always used in the same way inside the game. Look for the following particular text styles to get quick information about your current location.
Text styleExplanation
Location Information Indicates places of interest or things to do in your current location.
Travel Information Informs of travel destinations that are possible to visit from your current location.
Warning Warns of impending danger in or near your current location.
There are also particular icons and markers that carry significance. Familiarize yourself with their meaning from the table below.
IconExplanation

[Safe]

A location with this marker is a NON-PVP zone. While in a zone like this, you can not be attacked by other players. However, this marker does not mean you're safe from ANY harm, just other players!
[Instant] Casting a spell or using an ability marked with this icon will not interrupt your combat turn.

Succeeding in combat

Combat basics and understanding the interface

  • Combat in the game is turn-based. On a single combat turn you may either perform a melee attack, attempt to flee, cast a spell or use an ability.
  • Caster classes have spells, others have abilities. Some spells and abilities do not interrupt your turn though - they are marked with an icon like the one illustrated earlier.

To get a bit of background history about the game, take a gander at the info page.
